Vic So’oto wasn’t invited to any all star games. He didn’t get invited to the combine. At his pro day he ran a 4.65 40 weighing in at 265 pounds, and bench pressed 225 pounds 35 times. He made the 53 man roster of the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent.

There is no such thing as a bad carbohydrate, only bad timing on carbohydrates. As mentioned above, every carb is converted into glucose to be used as fuel for the body. Certain carbs convert to glucose more quickly than others. Fast metabolizing carbs like white bread, sugar or gatorade quickly stimulate your blood sugar level. This would be desired post workout with protein to help prevent muscle breakdown. However, consuming a fast metabolizing carb right before bed or without exercising may cause the body to store the energy as fat for later when activity is higher. Carbohydrates that contain fiber, protein or fat (whole grain breads, fruits, vegetables, lentils) take longer to metabolize and therefore provide a longer more consistent source of energy. These carbs should make up the majority of our carbohydrate intake.
